If you’re visiting from interstate you can drive in SA with your current interstate driver’s licence as long as you adhere to your licence conditions.
If you’re visiting from overseas on a temporary visa you can drive in SA if you have a current overseas driver’s licence and you are not disqualified from driving. If your licence is not written in English you need to carry an English translation or an International Driving Permit.
If you become a permanent resident you must apply for a South Australian driver’s licence within three months.
